The Colon
1. What is the colon?
The Colon is a tube about five feet long which connects
the small intestine to the anus. The layers of muscle in
the wall of the colon contract rhythmically
("peristalsis"), slowly squeezing waste matter along to
their final release.

2. What does the colon do?
The colon has one primary job, to transport waste out of
the body.
3. What happens when the colon is
sluggish?
When the colon wall is encrusted with old fecal matter,
it is not as effective at removing waste and toxins from
the body. The body is negatively affected by this
toxicity.
4. Where can the old fecal debris in the bowel be
found?
It can be stuck in the pockets of the bowel or stuck to
the bowel wall like glue. This causes irritation and
inflammation and prevents normal flow.
