The Experience
11. Is Colon Hydrotherapy painful? Not generally. In fact many people report their colon hydrotherapy sessions as being both refreshing and relaxing. If there is a significant blockage, there can be a cramping sensation when it is removed.
12. Will I experience any intestinal discomfort or fatigue after the cleansing?
Usually not, but since the cleansing will stir up a lot of old debris and toxins, you might experience some minor nausea or fatigue. If any discomfort occurs, it is recommended that you rest and apply a warm heating pad to the abdomen. If you wish, a mild vegetable broth or peppermint tea is usually soothing at this time. Any discomfort will usually pass within 24 hours.
13. How long does a typical session take?
The actual session is from 15 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on the body flow condition. The room is reserved for one hour.
14. How discreet is it?
From consultation to the end of treatment, Colon Hydrotherapy is very discreet. The consultation is taken in a private room, and is confidential. The treatment also occurs in a private room, where you are covered at all times. You can choose a hospital gown, or to just remove the bottom half of your clothing. Your modesty is protected at all times.
15. Does having a menstrual period at the time of a colon hydrotherapy session have any effect on the treatment?
No, in fact it's usually a good time to receive a treatment, since your body is already cleansing. Your flow will not interfere with the success of the treatment.
